Resize cuts pixel size (like 4000 px down to 1200 px). Squeeze cuts file size by trimming fine detail or using a smart format. Use both for the smallest file that still looks crisp.
JPG for photos - tiny files but no clear parts. PNG for logos, text and shots that need clear parts. WebP for most web use - small like JPG yet keeps clear parts like PNG.
JPG and WebP drop some fine detail to shrink size. At 75 to 85 it is hard to spot. PNG keeps each pixel, so files stay big. Pick PNG only when each pixel counts.
JPG has no clear layer, so see-through pixels get filled with your JPG fill color (white by default). Pick PNG or WebP to keep them clear.
Set a KB goal and the app tests detail levels from high to low till the file fits. If it still will not fit, you get the smallest try plus a note in the preview line.
No fixed cap, but huge files eat lots of memory. Phones may quit on pics over 50 MP. If a file fails, try a smaller copy first.
No. All work is done on your device. Pics never leave your browser tab unless you share them.
Very old browsers can not write WebP. Use a new Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari. If a write fails, the app falls back to PNG on its own.
